In many places in this big ol’ US of A of ours people are now paying about $5.00 a gallon for gas…and then we’re being shamed for “needing” that commodity to run our lives.
We should after all, in a perfect world, ride horses every where we go or at least go the way of the Amish and use horse and buggy.
OR if you’re very fortunate and make lame movies like the remake of Charlie’s Angles and 50 First Dates then you can afford a $50,000 hybrid electric vehicle. That would make you one of the most evolved of our society and deserving to be worshiped…and own a car.
Here’s what I’m having a hard time wrapping my mind around. Back in 2006 when gas prices were rising to an teeth-rattling three bucks, Democrats and the media couldn’t lay enough blame at the Bush Administration’s feet. (Yet another example.)
So, now that we are paying five bucks and waiting with baited breath for that $6 mark just in time for summer vacation time (anyone have money for vacation this year?) why is the current administration not getting fair and equal treatment. Especially since the current President has reduced domestic oil drilling by 13% and is on the campaign trail scaring people about the horrors of that old evil coal. *gasp*
Even though he knows how bad people are hurting…he’s just not going to change his mind…
..and how did Einstein define insanity? Oh, yeah, doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results…
