Navigating the Maze on Driftwood Beach, by Beverly Hicks Burch

Driftwood Beach C

…and this my friends is the “driftwood” on Driftwood Beach on Jekyll Island (GA). As you stand and look down the beach you see a solemn graveyard of old Southern live oak trees that gave up the “ghost” long ago to wind, surf and erosion.

It’s an interesting maze to navigate as you make you way down the beach…

Just out of curiosity…can you tell which way the wind normally blows?
