Never Worked a Day in Her Life?! by Beverly Hicks Burch

Never Worked a Day in Her Life?!

Seriously?!

This week Hilary Rosen started a firestorm when she accused Ann Romney of “never working a day in her life”.

My first thought was, “Seriously?! Are you really dragging out that old insult? You must feel really threatened!” In life I’ve found the go to tactic is insult the opponent when you feel threatened.

It’s mudslinging time people and the Obama campaign is shoveling it…

Of course Obama’s “advisors” are coming out voicing their “disappointment” in Ms Rosen’s comments. Yep, real loyalty there…

The jaw dropping disingenuous move here is that suddenly the Obama campaign is snatching back from the “war on women” tactic. Why do I say disingenuous?

Well, just this week I was emailed (I can’t for the life of me understand how I got on this email list) an email from the re-elect Obama campaign. The re-elect Obama campaign must feel the inevitable candidate for the GOP is Mitt Romney because the letter contained five (5) scare tactics ominous, treacherous things that will happen if Romney is elected in November.

Number one on the list? (1) Mitt Romney will declare a war on women.

Yep, as simple as that, that’s what Obama’s number one concern about Mitt Romney is and the big evil they are warning and agitating the American people with…and now comes Hilary Rosen…

Give me a freaking break!!

I feel qualified to speak on this subject from several levels.

First and foremost, I am a woman…a bona fide girly girl…a college educated girly girl…so take that… Furthermore, I have worked outside of the home and I have been a stay-at-home mom, been a stay-at-home mom who worked part time, a stay-at-home mom who help in home based businesses and been a stay-at-home mom who homeschooled. Honey, if it’s on the spectrum, I’ve probably been there.

And, let me tell you something, sister…being a stay at home mom is the hardest work I’ve ever done in my life. You scrub, clean, shop, cook, nurse to good health, budget, chauffer, recycle, garden, organize, structure and in many cases educate formally (if you homeschool as I did) or informally just in everyday life, teaching you children about life, love and morals…and those are just a few of the chores you do. Many times you do this on a budget stretched so thin it’s bare in places, but, it’s all about sacrifice for the greater good…in this case for your children and or family. (Sacrifice is a concept that seems to get little understanding in our society today. O Henry’s The Gift of the Magi would seem like a lame and stupid story to many, yet it epitomizes the gift of true, caring heartfelt, sacrificial love.) Most of the time a stay-at-home mom’s work is done without the aid of help…unless she has the help of a caring and loving mate. In that case, then she’s in a loving partnership which works much like a business would work at its best…like a well oiled machine.

Many moms who work outside of the home have the assistance of nannies, and cleaning help. Some have the luxury of personal shoppers, decorators and personal assistance. Notice, I didn’t use a universal statement like the ilk of Ms Rosen are want to do…I didn’t say all working moms have the above luxuries because I know many are living from paycheck to paycheck, especially if they are single working moms. I also do realize there are some stay-at-home moms who may avail themselves to the same luxuries and well they should if they can afford them because they do work hard.

A couple of years ago my sister and her husband adopted their first child. They are well into the middle years of their life. My sister has been an educator all of her adult life. She holds a Master’s Degree and education beyond that. I saw her work hard in her profession. But, since having her child and being a stay-at-home mom I have seen my sister truly tired. It is a blessed, fulfilled tired…with a heart full of love beyond reason. She does it well and she deserves it. She deserves the choice to stay-at-home. It does not make her brain numb, uneducated or clueless to the outside world and the concerns thereof as Ms Rosen would seem to think.

If anything a stay-at-home mom is avidly in tune to the world around her and the issues that affect her and her family. And, for Ms Rosen’s future reference, the economy and jobs are part of those concerns…or as the 1992 Bill Clinton campaign put it, “it’s the economy, stupid!”

I was raised in a conservative household. My parents raised three girls, one who was physically and mentally challenged from a young age. We grew up in the `60s and `70s and we never had to be liberated from anything when it came to expectations.

Our Daddy considered it a top priority we receive an education, respect ourselves and expect others to respect us. Daddy’s mantra was “Get a good education in case you marry some dope who leaves you. You won’t have to sling hash in a greasy spoon if you get an education!” (Yep, I was the one who married said dope who left years later…which is an entirely different story…but, acquiring computer skills helped me snag a job I would have never imagined. Knowledge is power people!) In Daddy’s eyes we could do anything we wanted…there was just some things he couldn’t understand why we would want to do them…I mean why be a ditch digger when you could be a writer, a teacher, a doctor or whatever?!

Let’s look at Ms Rosen’s target for a moment: Ann Romney. Ms Romney is a mother of five sons. Just that makes me tired thinking about it! Ms Romney is no “air head blond or bimbo”. Not only did she attend BYU, but she finished her undergraduate work at Harvard University. Ever heard of that little ol’ school? I’m sure somewhere along the line, if Ms Romney’s college education was like mine, she had to take an economy class or two. Ms Romney has also been involved in charity work with many organizations. Yes, that is work. Someone has to do it or it won’t get done! Also, take into consideration that Ann Romney has accomplished all of this while battling multiple sclerosis and breast cancer.

Let me tell you something: that in itself is no easy task. I can relate to that as someone with chronic and disabling illnesses and as a two time non-smoking lung cancer survivor. Sometimes just dealing with chronic illness is a full time job.

But, what it boils down to is this: Ann Romney is no hot house violet…

What Ms Rosen leaves out when she makes her disparaging remarks is this…choice! Kind of ironic coming from the party of choice, huh? Choice is okay if you are a Democrat and/or a liberal woman, but woe be unto you if you are in the GOP or consider yourself conservative or step out of line with the Democrat party line. Then your choices are invalid if they do not fall in line with the Democrat party and liberal women.

How totally hypocritical…

A Gassy, Bloated and Unfortunately Not An Anomaly, by Beverly Hicks Burch

In many places in this big ol’ US of A of ours people are now paying about $5.00 a gallon for gas…and then we’re being shamed for “needing” that commodity to run our lives.

We should after all, in a perfect world, ride horses every where we go or at least go the way of the Amish and use horse and buggy.

OR if you’re very fortunate and make lame movies like the remake of Charlie’s Angles and 50 First Dates then you can afford a $50,000 hybrid electric vehicle. That would make you one of the most evolved of our society and deserving to be worshiped…and own a car.

Here’s what I’m having a hard time wrapping my mind around. Back in 2006 when gas prices were rising to an teeth-rattling three bucks, Democrats and the media couldn’t lay enough blame at the Bush Administration’s feet. (Yet another example.)

So, now that we are paying five bucks and waiting with baited breath for that $6 mark just in time for summer vacation time (anyone have money for vacation this year?) why is the current administration not getting fair and equal treatment. Especially since the current President has reduced domestic oil drilling by 13% and is on the campaign trail scaring people about the horrors of that old evil coal. *gasp*

Even though he knows how bad people are hurting…he’s just not going to change his mind…

..and how did Einstein define insanity? Oh, yeah, doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results…

Pocket Change and Taxes, by Beverly Hick Burch

I know I have a lot less pocket change these days. One big reason is the cost of gasoline. Here’s a staggering statistic for you…gasoline was $1.83 on Jan. 20, 2009. That’s an 87% increase in a little over two years. Now, gas is quickly approaching $4 a gallon. And, why on earth in Jan. 20, 2009 such a benchmark? Come on mind think! Oh yeeaahh…that was the day our current President was inaugurated…DUH!

Does This Sound and Feel Familiar…? by Beverly Hicks Burch

Does this sound and feel familiar…?

For the first time in the history of our country the majority of our people believe that the next five years will be worse than the past five years.

  • Jimmy Carter "Energy and the National Goals — A Crisis of Confidence," 1979

Why is it an ineffectual Democratic President seems to be “presiding” over  and asking these questions about mid-term of their Presidency while our once great country is sliding into a pit of unemployment, debt, despondency, despair and depression?

I don’t feel particularly hopeful about my next five years…how bout you?

For Your Tomorrows We Gave Our Todays, by Beverly Hicks Burch

For Your Tomorrows We Gave Our Todays

By Beverly Hicks Burch

As a young mother I remember reading the heartbreaking story of little Adam Walsh. Adam was 6 years old and had gone to the mall with his Mom. They were in a Sears store and Adam was in the toy department just a few aisles away from his mother when he was snatched away from her and vanished forever. Later little Adam’s severed head was found in a nearby canal and it was obvious he had become a victim of an evil predator.

When I read Adam’s story, an ice cold horror and fear surrounded my heart. At the time I was a young mother myself. My baby boy was only about 18 months old. All I could do at the time was rush to his side, pick him up, hold him and silently cry. I remember thinking “there but for the grace of God go I”. I also remember thinking at the time that one of the most horrific experiences for a parent to go through would be to have something happen to their child and not be there with the child to hold and comfort him or her.

It was a thought I could hardly bare to think about even as my son grew into a teen and later into an adult. It was even more heavily on my heart when he served his country in the Middle East after 9/11. All I could do was place his life in God’s hands…

But folks, I want to remind you this Memorial Day there have been many parents for generations who have gone through that very same dreaded experience. Somewhere on some raging battlefield in a foreign land, or even in this country during the Civil War, parents have lost precious children. They died alone, without the comfort and without the loving arms of their family cradling them as they passed from this life to the next. They died while serving this country and for the values we believe in. You only have to think of Pearl Harbor, Hitler, Stalin, Saddam, Idi Amin, the warlords of Somalia, concentration camps, the slavery still practiced in Africa and the gulags of the Cold War to even begin to scrape the evil that lurks in the corners of this world and where some of our sons and daughter fought or aided the innocent.

Hitler was an evil that was unleashed upon Germany and the world a generation ago. He promised change for Germans who were still reeling from WWI and felt they had gotten the short end of the stick from the armistice after that war. As Hitler rose to power if you ridiculed him or questioned him you were bullied and made to shut up…sometimes permanently. Soon Germans found their freedom of speech very limited…unless it was in favor of the Fuhrer…and soon whole segments of groups and populations were being loaded up in cattle cars and “relocated” to death camps…all for the greater good of German society. There were a few brave souls that did act toward the end of the war for the true greater good of Germany.

In July 1944 there was a failed plot to overthrow Hitler. It was the plot the movie Valkyrie starring Tom Cruise as Claus Phillipp von Stauffenberg was based on. These men knew that Hitler was causing the demise of Germany and for Germany to survive, Hitler had to be stopped. They were willing to give their “todays” for Germany’s tomorrows… Although the plot ultimately failed, it had to have helped with the eventual downfall of the Third Reich and today the men of the July 20th, 1944 plot are honored in Germany as heroes…they are remembered…they are memorized…they are not forgotten…

My Tall & Handsome’s own Uncle Emzy (Gaydon) fought in that same war. Uncle Emzy was a John Wayne and Ronald Reagan type of guy. He was captured for posterity in a famous picture taken of Gen. Eisenhower. There is a group of GIs standing around Eisenhower and there as big as Dallas is Uncle Emzy. Emzy is the tall guy to the right of Eisenhower in the center of the picture. He’s the one with the healthy head of hair.

Emzy was a member of the 101st Airborne and he fought at the Battle of the Bulge. He was wounded in that battle and the wound was so severe they thought he would die on that foreign battlefield. A chaplain was even sent to give Emzy last rites and a good stiff dose of morphine. Emzy was of good strong western stock and he survived that wound, but he carried a scar of that hole with him on his shoulder the rest of his life. Emzy had been willing to give his todays for our tomorrows…

Today I saw a special about the battle of Iwo Jima and it really touched my heart. My own mother’s Uncle Billy had taken part as a pilot of the amphibious landings there. Some of the most ferocious fighting of WWII took place in the Pacific Theater and Iwo Jima specifically. After the heaviest of fighting was over and some of the battle weary warriors were preparing to leave they discovered thousands of crosses marking the fallen dead. There was also a sign that declared:

“When you go home tell them for us and say, For your tomorrows we gave our todays.”

I don’t know how many of you have ever been to the tomb of the Unknown Soldier. It is a somber and sobering experience, especially if you stay long enough for the changing of the guard. In that tomb lays the body of someone’s child who died alone on a distant battlefield. They were scared and without the love and comfort of family…their family never even had the comfort of giving that loved child a proper burial. That Unknown Soldier gave his todays for our tomorrows…

There are many things wrong, out of whack and topsy turvy in our country right now. Not the least of which is the fact that a mosque can be built within a breath’s distance from Ground Zero in New York City. There were almost 3,000 souls vaporized into eternity on 9/11 by people representing the religion of the mosques of this world. That is a lot of innocent people who lost their “tomorrows”…

Out of humanity and respect they could find a more appropriate place….there are already thousands of mosques in the US. Why at Ground Zero? I would suggest they could build their mosque there when Christians and Jews are allowed to build churches and synagogues in Mecca, Medina and any other Islamic cities and allowed to worship freely. And, just when do you think this would happen? It would be a really, really freezing cold day in July I’m afraid…and ice skating in Hades…

But, there is one thing that is just wrong in this country that could be made right with a simple gesture of respect.

“Mr. President, don’t you think you could stop by on your way to your party with Paul McCartney to lay a wreath at the tomb of the Unknown Soldier? After all, you’re partying with Paul because that soldier gave his tomorrows for your todays…

What if…? by Beverly Hicks Burch

What if…?

By Beverly Hicks Burch

…I told you I used to crawl up in my Daddy’s lap when I was 20 years old, snuggle in and have a grand old time watching TV in his lap? I’m sure you reaction would be something like mine if I heard a grown woman say something similar…"Ewww…that’s way too much TMI going on and there’s some kind of funky Mackenzie Phillips/ John Phillips stuff going on there that just isn’t right! Where was the mother?!”

Why would any grown, supposedly intelligent and educated woman say something like that…out of school? No good reason…

Unless…there was some hidden calculated manipulative Machiavellian purpose for such misrepresentation…and for the use of smoke and mirrors. The world witnessed a stellar example just last week…compliments of the woman calling herself the First Lady of the United States…Michelle Obama.

This Amazon woman with biceps even many men seem to envy (and look like could deliver a swift upper cut to the punier looking Anointed One, President BO should he stray from her Michelleness) went to Copenhagen last week as part of the Chicago Trinity (that would be Michelle, Barak Hussein Obama, and Queen of Everything Oprah Winfrey) to bring home the trophy of the 2016 Olympics to lay at the feet of the hardball politicians they owe so much to.

Never mind the fact that half the population of Chicago was against the idea based on the logistics, never mind the fact that the financial price tag would have been staggering in an economy teetering towards depression (who could afford to attend?), never mind the fact that for the first time in the history of the country a sitting President used Air Force One and tax payers dollars and time out of his schedule during wartime to lobby a special interest group for a sports event for his hometown (wonder what the reaction would have been had Bush used such resources to personally lobby for a new baseball team in one of the cities in Texas?) Never mind the fact that that President BO didn’t have time to speak to his Gen. McChrystal…he still had time for that scandal plagued IOC and never mind the fact that President BO has done nothing for 10 months but tell the world what a crappy, sorry place America is and the American people are (but narcissist that he is…he can make it all better). Who would want to come to such a crappy place and mingle with such horrid people?

Well, guess what President BO? Everything you’ve been telling the world about us for the past 10 months worked…you’ve scared them off and nobody wants to come play with us any more…you took away the Shining City on the Hill and turn it into a dump on the corner…

But the Chicago Trinity knows manipulation can be powerful. Just use a bunch of sentimental sappy words and you’ll have people eating out of your hands. Coach Winfrey’s been doing it for decades.

So for her presentation at the IOC Michelle Obama gets up and her basic sales pitch is this:

“Some of my best memories are sitting on my dad’s lap, cheering on Olga and Nadia, Carl Lewis, and others for their brilliance and perfection.”

At first glance this may seem like a harmless, cutesy statement, but upon closer inspection a couple of things become alarming and show the manipulation and bent of this group.

Olga Korbut was a gymnast that competed for the USSR between 1972 and 1976. Ok, we can see an 8 years old Michelle in her Daddy’s lap, but a 12 year old? Hum, ok maybe, but borderline at best?

Nadia Comaneci was a Romanian gymnast who performed at the Olympics in 1976 and 1980 so, her again Michelle was 12 in 1976 and a whopping 16 in 1980. Sitting in my Daddy’s lap watching TV was the last thing on my mind at 16.

But there’s even something else here…the cheering is for Communist, socialist athletes. Guess the plain old white bread USA team was just too lame to cheer for, or even mention in the IOC presentation. Guess Michelle really did mean it when she said she was proud of her country for the first time when President. BO was campaigning for Presidency…proud because a man that is 50% black and 50% white can be President. The question should be…"Why not and why does it have to be racial?”

Michelle did mention cheering on Carl Lewis an outstanding track star if there ever was one (and someone people in Alabama have great pride in I might add). Only problem here is Lewis’ first Olympics game was in LA in 1984 when Michelle was a very big girl of 20 sitting in Daddy’s lap. And of course, cheering on Lewis was racially politically correct.

You can hear Michelle’s speech here. It’s long and very narcissistic…full of me, me, me, mine, mine, mine, I, I, I etc. There was nothing in the speech about the greatness of Chicago or the US and what the town and the country could offer the Games and the visitors from other countries. No selling points to sell this county and it greatness, it technology, the warmness of the people and the love of sports. It was about the Chicago Trinity pure and simple…

This whole ball of wax doesn’t boil down to some of us are so “Un-American” as to not root for the USA to get to the Olympics in 2016 just because Barak Hussein Obama desires it. It has to do with what kind of damage and harm is being done in insidious ways to this great country. So folks, it really gets down to the nasty in two areas here:

1. These people will tell you and the world anything…even what they think sounds good but may not be true…just to woe you and get you to believe them. In some circles people like that are called liars. They will manipulate you to no end and expect you to enjoy having it done and maybe even ask for more. How can you trust what they say about health care reform, taxes, Social Security, job loss or creation, the economy or anything else that will dramatically alter your life?

2. If President BO can’t be convincing and powerful enough to bring home a sporting event…how can we have confidence in him to have to strength and power to deal with despots like Iran’s “I’m-a-nut-job” or Korea’s Kim Jong-Il? How can he have the strength to run this country period? The man has never had a position even running a lemonade stand…he is a political egghead. He is a very wealthy politician who has no idea how the real world works.

People we are in a world of hurt right now and I don’t even think Alice is in Wonderland…

Indoctrination, by Beverly Hicks Burch

For those of you that don’t read Uncommon Sensibilities

Folks, if you don’t believe this video is indoctrination…then read the quotes from history from below and give it a second thought…

With youth I can create a new world

“I begin with the young. We older ones are used up. But my magnificent youngsters! Look at these men and boys! What material! With them, I can create a new world”

Adolf Hitler – Nuremberg 1933

By the time Hitler became Chancellor of Germany in 1933, 3.5 million children were members of the Hitler Youth.

“We must create out of the younger generation a generation of Communists. We must turn children, who can be shaped like wax, into real, good Communists…. We must remove the children from the crude influence of their families. We must take them over and, to speak frankly, nationalize them. From the first days of their lives they will be under the healthy influence of Communist children’s nurseries and schools. There they will grow up to be real Communists.”

Communist Party Education Workers Congress – 1918

Give me four years to teach the children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted.

A Sick System at Uncommon Sensibilities, by Beverly Hicks Burch

Today over at Uncommon Sensibilities I’ve posted a blog about the new President of the Canadian Medical Association and her opinion of the “sick” Canadian healthcare system…the one Obama wants us to imitate. I also discuss some personal applications of the “end of life counseling” of his reform.

UPS Yours, by Beverly Hicks Burch

UPS Yours

By Beverly Hicks Burch

President BO went to Portsmouth, NH to transact a Town Hall meeting concerning his healthcare “reform”. And, whether he realizes it or not he just told the American public…”UPS yours!”

Why? Well, as Obama blathered on without a teleprompter about the state of private sector vs. government run, President BO said, to paraphrase, “The private industry is doing great…just great thank you. Why, look how well, UPS and FedEX are doing. It the US Post Office that’s struggling…”

Whaaaaaaat?! Jesus, Mary and Joseph…did those words just vomit out of that man’s mouth?! Because if they did, in essence what he is telling us is that private sector can get the job done great, but the government run sector screws up…big time! And now he wants us, the American people to apply that pissant theory to the best healthcare system in the world?! In effect he’s saying, “UPS yours American people.”

But, folks what they’re also not telling you is that we already have government healthcare in work in different sectors. We have Medicaid and Medicare and these two systems have been chock-o-block full of graft, misuse and abuse for years.

Then there’s that stellar VA system. Recently it was revealed that at least three VA hospitals…one in Miami, FL; one in Murfreesboro, TN and one in Augusta, GA had exposed more than 10,000 patients to HIV. So far 5 have tested positive for HIV and 43 and tested positive for hepatitis. The speculation is unclean instruments were used in surgical procedures that caused cross contamination.

Then there’s recent case in point number two: A USAF Airman enter Travis Air Base Medical Facility to have a routine laparoscopic gall bladder surgery. He just went in to have his gall bladder removed. During the procedure the doctors punctured his aorta, placing him in critical condition, and endangering the blood supply to his legs. A1C Colton Read went home minus both legs. He is 20 years old. And because Travis Medical Center is a government facility, Colton Read CAN NOT sue the Federal Government for malpractice!

This is government healthcare at work for you…

Yep, folks…we’re being told UPS yours by the new administration who doesn’t care if we like our healthcare or not. I think we need tell them what we think about it, don’t you?

An Overheard Conversation, by Beverly Hicks Burch

An Overheard Conversation

By Beverly Hicks Burch

*I’m posting this here for those of you that don’t follow my political blog Uncommon Sensibilities.

Last night while on the way in from work, Tall & Handsome stopped to pick us up a bite of supper. While waiting for the food he happened to overhear a very interesting conversation.

Sitting next to T & H was a guy who worked for a local car dealership that sells (foreign) cars. He and another person were discussing the “Cash for Clunkers” program.

The guy who was part of the conversation not in the automotive industry was asking how the program worked and Mr. Car Salesman was more than happy to tell him…well, kinda…sorta…

But first, let me ask you…do you know what counts as a “clunker” for a trade-in?

Well here are the qualifications:

· The vehicle must have been made within the last 25 years from the day of the trade-in, but in the case of category 3 vehicles (trucks or vans) the vehicle can’t be made later than 2001.

· The combined city/highway fuel economy must be 18 MPG or less.

· Be in drivable condition (!)

· You must own it at least a year before you trade it in.

So what do you have to do to get that whopping $3,500 or $4,500 into your grubby little hands? Well, read on:

· You must purchase or lease the new vehicle for five years.

· The new vehicle must sell for $45,000 (and who the heck can afford that in this obamination of an economy?!) and get at least a whopping 22 combined MPG.

· If you want $3,500 your trade-in must best your old vehicle by 5 – 9 MPG, but if you want the $4,500 cash for clunkers your new vehicle needs to get 10 MPG or more better than your old “clunker”.

So, according to these standards, these “clunkers” may not be that old, are in perfectly good running condition…and in many cases paid for! So, for $3,500 – $4,500 the Obama Administration wants you to go into debt…guess they don’t want a bushel of apples falling too far from the little apple tree…

Now, back to the overheard conversation…

Mr. Car Salesman said it was a great program for young people…who usually end up buying “throw away” cars and that the dealership “adjusts” the price of the vehicle to reflect the “clunker” money…in other words folks…as the old timer would say, “Ya ain’t getting that good of a deal.”

According to Mr. Car Salesman, when John Q. Public brings in his “clunker” the car dealerships across the country are required to pour a liquid into the works of the “clunker” to permanently disable it and make it forever undrivable. That means we have crushed “clunkers” stacking up like cord wood in salvage yards across the nation at a rate of 10 – 20 cars per day…so much for the environment…and all for a few more miles per gallon! Think of the energy it takes to shred all of those thousands or millions of clunker. And, where does the plastics, tires and chemicals like engine fuels and refrigerants end up? Often in landfills and as hazardous waste that need to be disposed somewhere.

And remember that liquid a dealership has to run through the vehicle to permanently disable it? That liquid is a lethal sodium silicate solution. According to the Automotive Waste Recycler’s Association that process just creates more waste making heretofore salvageable parts worthless and costing the salvage yard a loss of profit of about $700 to $1200 per vehicle. Many environmental groups and watchdogs are concerned about these factors of the program. Please take the time to read the article Does Cash for Clunkers help the environment? It’s Debatable

And what has this “cash for clunkers” program done for the economy? Well, by July of this year (2009) the government had burned through almost $950 million they had set aside for the program. (I don’t know about you, but in my household we’d benefitted a whole lot better it the government tit had just sent us a check in the mail for what they were doling out…) Just to make sure the program will continue, President BO has signed a $2 billion dollar measure that will infuse, extend and engorge this particular government tit for a little longer…

This was done because of a dirty little secret…right now the government is rejecting about 85% of the “Cash for Clunker” claims that dealerships are filing. One dealer is owed $1 million by the government and a dealer in California has filed 92 claims and has been reimbursed for 3. Folks, that means there are a whole lot of dealerships not receiving money supposedly guaranteed by the Obama Administration (unless of course the administration keeps perpetually “infusing” the program at our expense with our tax dollars)…and that translates into working US citizens who could lose their jobs if the dealerships have to lay off because of lack of funds…

Once again…I’d rather see a onetime check in the mail if President BO is flushing all those Benjamins down the toilet…wonder if he knows what D-E-B-T spells? We could take our checks and pay off our debt or give it back to the government to pay if its debt…novel idea, huh?
